Full Job Description
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating word processing equipment to prepare correspondence, records, reports, insurance policies, and similar items: Advises other departmental personnel in techniques and style of dictation and letter writing. Recommends changes in procedures to effect savings in time, labor and other costs, and to improve operating efficiency. Assigns new workers to experienced workers for training. Assists subordinates in resolving problems in nonstandard situations. Evaluates job performance of subordinates and recommends appropriate personnel action. Performs duties as described under SUPERVISOR (clerical) Master Title.
